The Nursery Den

[Rosaleena]

This is where expecting females come to give birth and where the newborns live for the first few weeks of their life. Only the parents, Alphas, Healers, and Nannies are allowed here when there are pups. There is an extremely small pond nearby, and it's shallow enough to no one has to worry.

Animals in the area: Birds, rabbits, lizards, and frogs in the nearby pond.

[Snowflower]

Snowflower padded into the den. Making herself comfortable after she piled up the moss. She lay in the soft bed.

[Rosaleena]

Rosaleena arrived at the den. She slowly padded into the den, seeing that Snowflower was already comfortable. She laid down at the mouth of the den. "Hey Snowy... how's my bestie doing? I mean, I cannot believe that you're already expecting. It seems just yesterday that you and Seaspray had become mates..." She smiled.

[Snowflower]

"I'm fine."she smiled upon hearing Rosa's voice. "Yeah. Seems like yesterday."she giggled. "I'll be there at your mate ceremony."she said.

[Rosaleena]

Rosa sighed. "Well, for you it isn't mandatory for you to go to the ceremony. If you don't feel good, you can simply stay here and skip it."

[Snowflower]

Snowy shook her head. "I'm going."she said with a smile.

[Rosaleena]

"Ok then, whatever works for you." Rosaleena said. She thought about the future puppies that are going to be running around. "What are going to be the pups' names?"

[Snowflower]

"I think there is four."she said. "Cailean, Fire, Honey and Shade."she said with a soft smile. "But of course, I think it's two males and two fwmales,mp maybe."she grinned.

[Rosaleena]

"Four... wow. That'll be quite a handful," she chuckled. She smiled at the fae.

[Snowflower]

"yup. Little bundles of devilish joy."she joked. "Congrats to you and Lightning."she smiled.

[Aleu]

I reached the entrance to the Nursery Den and stood outside shifting from paw to paw nervously. What I saw confirmed that I was right about which fae was expecting pups. I didn't have much experience with expecting female wolves but I knew they could be quite defensive and protective and so I called out softly to Snowflower "Hello Snow congratulations" I smiled softly before adding "Can I come in?"

[Snowflower]

"Aleu."she smiled. "Come in."she said. The fae smiled at the other two. "I'm glad I have great friends."she smiled.

[Aleu]

I smiled as she told me I could come in. I entered carefully making sure not to startle Snow. I looked down at her "W-would you mind if I felt?" I asked shyly lifting my paw slowly but not making any move to touch her until she answered .

[Snowflower]

"oh sure."she said. The fae laid still and waited.

[Aleu]

I moved my paw until it was resting gently against her side I felt one of the pups kick and I jerked my paw back quickly as it had startled me. I nearly fell over as my balance was already messed up on account of my injury on my back leg "Sorry it startled me is all" I muttered.

[Snowflower]

Snowy smiled. "It's fine."she said. "That just means their healthy."she said.

[Rosaleena]

Rosaleena saw a familiar face which was unmistakeably Aleu. She nodded at her Lead Healer. "Good afternoon, Aleu. Glad you're here to help." She sat down and watched as the healer tended Snowy.

[Snowflower]

Snowy smiled. At least she wasn't alone.

[Seaspray]

There was a moving shadow belonging to Seaspray outside the den, and the figure flicked his tail as if to assure the faes of his presence, not some intruder's. SS poked his head into the den to see Rosaleena, Aleu, and of course, his beloved mate Snowflower. "Hi Aleu, is everything alright with Snowy?" He asked, seeing the healer tend to her. The concern in his voice was poorly hidden.

[Snowflower]

"Hey Seaspray."snowy said with a warm smile. The fae felt another kick from het stomache and giggled.

[Rosaleena]

Rosaleena saw Seaspray and nodded. She sat down.

[Aleu]

I smiled softly at Seaspray trying to calm him "You have nothing to worry about Snow is strong and the pups are already kicking so that means that they're strong and healthy as well." I paused looking over at Snowflower and then reaching out to feel her stomach I put gentle pressure and then leant my head down pressing the side of my head against her belly "It feels like about four pups am I right?" I asked looking back at Snow standing up and taking a step back to give her room.

[Snowflower]

"yes."she says softly with a smile. The fae chuckled as the kicks kind of tickled.

[Seaspray]

"Four?!" Seaspray said with mock horror. "They're gonna be running all over the place!" He chuckled and stepped inside the den, smiling warmly at Snowy.

[Snowflower]

Snowy smiled at her mate. "I bet they'll look great."she said.
