Yeah, it would so awesome to be a wolf...that's why we have wolf roleplay! I agree, it's really annoying that people shoot wolves when there are so many better ways to keep wolves away from livestock.

There was lots of people shooting wolves in Norway until almost every last one was dead. But now you will be thrown into jail if you kill a wolf unless it's self defence...

Haha.

I don't really know why some people hate wolves so much. Even if they're killing cattle, people can just build a tall fence or do some other non-lethal action. Shooting wolves isn't getting ranchers anywhere.

In Washington State, the wedge wolf pack was supposedly hunting the cattle around the area. There was no evidence that the wolves really killed the livestock, but the government blamed them anyway and wished to kill the pack. Wolf activists stood up for the pack, and the killing was postponed. Even before this point, a yearling of the pack died "mysteriously"(I think I know what, or should I say, who, killed that wolf). Sadly, the gov't eventually tracked down the alpha male using his radio collar and shot the whole pack from a helicopter. Look it up if you want to know more.
