Current location: In a large ravine between two mountains. Current status: Richard and Darlene are in the hospital. The wolves have been asked to leave town until night time.

The Saviors of Kareev

Welcome to Alaska. The year is 1915, mid November. You are one of the few sled dogs that are destined to either help this town, Kareev, escape its fate, or the one to fail and cause the town great suffering.

Can you rise to the challenge and persevere everything the cold, harsh Alaskan wilderness has to offer? Don’t think that the wilderness is the only thing you have to worry about. There are multiple animals, people, towns, organizations that would love to see this town go up in flames.

Currently the town is being plagued by a lack of medicine. Deadly plagues have been known to enter a town and infect all of the citizens. Most of the time these plagues are unable to be treated, however, we are rather fortunate this time. The disease we have encountered isn’t one of great mystery, but it is still quite rare. There isn’t a cure for it, although, there are ways to help ease the symptoms. This has also resulted in a large decrease in deaths by the plague and completely healing some.
The dilemma that the town is experiencing is the trip to the nearest town with a train station. The medicine is difficult to manufacture therefore must be ordered in from a larger company. The town was able to get word out about the plague and ordered the medicine. The payment is large but it is doable by the town. Now the medicine is set to arrive in the town of Briggs, deep in south Alaska. Without any means of travelling in the harsh blizzard that has enveloped them for the last two month, they must rely on their dogs. Their sled dogs must carry the heavy sled with their Masters across the vast, uncharted lands.

Your Masters are Richard and Darlene. They met around the age of 4, both grew up in this small town and don’t want to see it harmed. They will both do anything to protect this town and its citizens. They have both loved dog sledding with a passion and both of them excel at it. They are well renowned for their achievements when sledding long distances or over harsh terrain.

All ranks and positions will be assigned in the roleplay. You do not get to choose your own, however, you can influence your Masters in the RP and perhaps they will promote you.
You are not allowed to influence other people or animals in the RP. You can RP something like,
“I lunge forward, swiping at the enemy.” This is acceptable, then shall be replied to by me RP’ing as the enemy either taking the hit or dodging it.
“I lunge forward, swiping the enemy across his face as he falls to the ground.” This is not acceptable. You can’t say that made you contact with your claw, it must be approved by me.

There are multiple skills that you can put your points into. The points will affect how things play out with your wolf in the RP. For example, if you get into a fight with another dog or an enemy. Your attack skill points will decide if you win or not.

You have 100 points you can split among them.

Attack: The damage you deal when fighting.

Strength: Anything from your pushing power to your pulling power. This skill affects multiple things later on.

Speed: This affects your reaction time as well as your running speed.

Stamina: This allows you to take more damage or run for a longer time before
collapsing.

Intelligence: A higher intelligence will allow you to deduce certain obstacles or mazes easier. As well as general knowledge of herbs and terrain.

Persuasive: This affects your conversation abilities as well as the chance that others will listen and follow what you are saying.

Looks: This one is quite obvious. Points in here will affects your looks and will make you more handsome or beautiful to others.

Richard walks out of his small, wooden house with a slight frown on his face. His gaze shooting quickly around his home as he awaits the familiar sounds of his faithful dogs. He walks over to the sled, making sure all of the harnesses are ready for use. He stands up, his muscular body showing as he whistles. Loud noise penetrating the silence as it echoes throughout his property, a signal for his dogs to come and get harnessed.

Darlene was outside of their house in a small shed. She could be heard from outside as she rummaged through sledding supplies making sure they had everything for their long trip. She wanted nothing more than to get this over with and save the people from town.

Archen came sprinting around the corner of the house eagerly running up to Master as he sat down. He gave a small bark letting him know he was ready to go. Arch turned around, glancing to where the others were. He let out a loud bark, “Everyone, get up and get ready. Today is the day we leave.” He said loud enough for the other dogs to hear.

Anything different or unique in or on your fur: white paws, the side of her head has white fur, and a single white snowflake on her side.

Brief personality description: Yuki is a smart wolf, her wit helps to keep her out of trouble. She has great reflex's , avoiding obstacles is easier for her than other sled dogs. She is kind, playful and calm.

Please go ahead and post. The introductory post for the Master's as well as my own char is at the end of the second post. When you post, feel free to interact with any of them. Once a few more sign up, we will depart from the home and embark on our journey. We won't need all 8 to start, but at least 3-4. For now, we can just relax around Master's home as well as the town.))

Caring, she has a strong sense of caring for others she sees as a friend or family.

Intelligent, she isn't the best at figuring things out, but growing up she was praised for her quick problem solving skills.

Brave, I wouldn't say it's bravery as much as it is stupidity, but she isn't afraid of much.

Social, she is quite the social butterfly, I guess wolf in this case. She loves to be around others and talk.

Strong sense of what is right, she will always do what she thinks is right regardless of what is laid in front of her. This does not apply if the outcome isn't set in stone.

Tikaani perked his ears, hearing Richard's whistle. Today's the day! The Alaskan Malamute thought with sudden realization. He raced over to where Richard and Archen were. He trotted up to Archen and dipped his head. "Hello." He grunted. Tikaani sat down, awaiting orders and the arrival of the rest of the sled team.

[Archen]

Archen turned his head to Tikaani, smiling softly seeing the male. "It's good to see you, Tikaani. Glad you're eager to get started the others seem to be taking their sweet time." He said with a bit of an annoyed tone. "However, Darlene isn't ready yet either so I guess it's fine." He glanced back around the corner of the house, "I hope we all make it back okay from this. I've never been to be afraid of this kind of thing, but from what Master has said, it's going to be a very dangerous trip."

Richard watched as the familiar Malamute came running. He crouched next to him, patting the dog gently on the head. "Good boy. Glad to see you're ready go." he said with a large smile brimming on his face. Richard loved every one of his dogs. With the current situation he needed them now more than ever.

Tikaani momentarily closed his eyes in happiness as Richard patted his head. He gave the master's hand a quick lick in return. Tikaani looked at Archen and rolled his eyes. "I hope they hurry up." The male dog murmured.

Brief personality description: (At least five different qualities. If able please go into slight detail of each.) Ebony is very smart- she will know if the ice is too thin or safe to go on. Protective- she will do anything to save her Masters' lives. Selfish- she doesn't share her food. Friendly- she won't attack anyone unless they attack her first. Loyal- she'll never ditch her sled dog life.

Erin rushes around the house, jogging at a steady pace as she approached Archen and Tikaani. She gives them both a smile as she sits down next to them. Her gaze turns up to Richard giving a small yip to let him know she is ready. "You two ready to get started?" She asked happily with her tail slowly wagging behind her.

[Rosaleena]

Ebony stretched and looked around, and saw Archen and Richard. She trotted over to them and yawned; she knew that today would be a long day.

[Archen]

Richard smiles seeing that a few of his team members had arrived. He walked over to the harnesses and held his head high as he whistled for them to come over. "Okay, everyone take a spot. We need to head to town to pick up a few supplies before we leave. It does not matter what spot you take for now, we will decide which wolf's will be where before we leave town."

Archen listened to his Master, obediently walking towards the front harness. He slips his neck through the opening, glancing back to Master as he waits for him to snap it on.

Darlene had now accumulated multiple supplies in a large bag. She tossed it over her should as she walked outside, making her way to the front where the others were. She struggled to carry the heavy bag before dropping it on the sled. "That should be it, Richard. Once we get the dogs harnessed up we can leave for town."

Yuki yawned as she woke up. "Awfully lot of noise already."she thought to herself and went outside. "Hey you guys."she smiled as she joined up with Archen, Ebony, Erin and Tikaani. She nugded Richard's hand to show she was ready to go as well.

Playfull: He loves to play and have fun. He stops if the situation gets serius though.
Bugged: He can be bugged out very fast if something dont goes his way. if he has to solve a problem alone for example.
Friendly: He always trys to be friendly to everybody even if he is in a bad mood.

Tikaani nosed his harness impatiently(which spot should Tikaani be, if he can pull heavy weights?). He smiled as Richard finally attached his haness to him and then to the sled.

Richard smiled and patted Yuki on the head before slowly running the harness over her. He locked it and went around to the others, locking each one in and making sure they were snug. He began checking the strings, making sure they were all attached and working properly while he waited for Darlene.

((Everyone is attached to a harness now.))

Darlene had finished all of the preparations and now sat on the sled, next to the bag of supplies. There was enough space for her to comfortably lay down for this long trip. Her and Richard would take turns riding and steering as they made their journey.

Richard walked around to the back of the sled, stepping onto the small wooden footholds. His hands gripping tightly around the handles as he lets out a loud, shrill whistle. He had different meanings for his whistle, one was another way to say go or begin.

Archen raised his muzzle and let out a loud bark as his feet dug into the snow, straining to move the sled. He waited for the others to join in so moving the sled so it would become possible.

[Seaspray]

Tikaani heard Archen bark and began to pad forward. He grunted with effort as he tried to pull the sled. It would take the help of the whole sled team to get it going.

Sammy started pulling as hard as he can after the loud bark from Archen. A little smile appeared on his face as he hears Tikaani grunt. But its sure heavy though, he thinks and puts more power into it.

[Rosaleena]

Ebony started running in place, trying to pull the sled. She was near the back, and from there it was heavier than the front.

Tikaai continued to pull at the sled. He had a feeling it was about to budge.

Yuki padded along. Her carefree side was taking over a bit. It was heavy but finally, it started to move a bit.

Ebony felt that the sled finally started to move. All her strength was showing and she continued to pull and pull.
