Sled Team Leader: Archen First spot: Tikaani (High strength. Need a stronger in the front.) Second spot: Yuki (Rather high intelligence. Helpful to those in the front when something is needed.) Third spot: Snowy (Mix of useful skills that should be put closer to the front.) Fourth spot: Ebony (High speed, so closer to front.) Fifth spot: Sixth spot: Seventh spot: Sammy (High Strength. Need a strong dog in back to help pulling.) Eighth spot: Erin (High Intelligence. Just as we have one in the front, we need one in the back.) Current location: In a large ravine between two mountains. Current status: Richard and Darlene are in the hospital. The wolves have been asked to leave town until night time.

Tikaani nodded. "Yes, this is the right way." He agreed, although as sticks poked his fur and the ice thinned, the alaskan malamute had a harder time being sure of himself. This is the quickest way... He reminded himself.

[Archen]

Archen listened to Tikaani and Ebony, he was wishful they were right. But the quickly approaching ravine made him shiver. It had been 4-5 hours of running now since they had to choose which direction. They entered the ravine, a light layer of snow was all they had below them. The snow quickly changed to ice as they moved closer. He quickly realized there had been a river running through here before. With the speed they were pulling the sled, all of the wolves were sliding across the thin ice unable to stop. The heavy sled using its momentum as it continued to move faster.

Archen growled lightly as he tried to dig his claws into the thin ice. His claws barely sinking in as the sled began sliding away from them. The sled had been set off of it's course and was slidining passed the animals. The sled now travelling backwards as it drags the sled dogs with it, unable to be stopped. Richard glanced back in terror as a wall laid dead in his tracks. He quickly released the handles, jumping onto the ice as he rolled a couple of times, slamming into the ice wall. The sled still pulling the wolves as Darlene braced herself.

The sled hit the tough ice wall, the sound of cracking wood echoing loudly as the dogs were pushed closer to the sled. All of the sled dogs being pushed into a small pile near the sled. Darlene glanced back at the handles where the Richard had been to find them completely shattered. The handles as well as the foothold were completely gone. The back part of the sled slightly cracked and could break at any moment.

Archen grunted lightly as he pulled himself from the pile of animals. Glancing over to see Darlene was okay. His eyes quickly shooting back to where Richard laid against the ice wall. His body was completely still as Archen began to panic. He pulled forward on the harness, trying to break free so he could get to Master. He let out a loud yip, staring at Master hoping Darlene would take notice.

[Bautzi]

Sammy finds himself in the middle of the pile trying to pull himself out. "is everyone okay?" he whimpers as he sees the pile of his teammates. He looks to Archen "what.... what is wrong? what are you staring a...t" he stucks as he sees his master laying aggainst the ice wall. "Master!" he barks in desperation glancing to Darlene.

[Seaspray]

Tikaani joined the chorus of yips, barks, and yelps of distress. I was wrong. And now I might have killed my master. The terrible thought echoed through his mind. It's all my fault...

[Archen]

Darlene glanced back to the others, her eyes quickly following their gaze as she spots Richard. Her heart sinks as he lays there, motionless. She gets off of the sled and stumbles towards him, tears streaking down on her face as she fears the worst. Finally reaching his side, she falls to her knees. Her hands grasping gently around his face as she begins to speak, "P-please, Richard. Wake up..." She says louder as he laid motionless. She leaned over, hugging against him the best she could, her face pushed into his chest to muffle her crying. Through her grip, she could feel blood on her hand. The blood from where he back had hit something against the wall.

Archen ceased his yipping as Darlene walked over to him. His expression turning into sadness as he watched her cry over his motionless body. "N-no..." Archen said in saddened tone as he watched her. The smell of blood hit his muzzle as he closed his eyes. He glanced back to the others, the ones who wanted to go the other way were surely going to blame me and the others who voted for this path. 'I was giving the task of choosing a path, even if the others voted, I was the one who led us here.' he thought to himself. He knew it wasn't completely his fault Master was like this, but he could have avoided it. If it wasn't for him choosing this path, Master could still be with us. Archen lowered himself onto his haunches into a defeated posture as he watched them with sorrow.

[Bautzi]

Sammy feels that his emotions turning him blind as Darlene walks over. He smells blood and his gaze froze to an endless stream of thoughts. He is angry at himself and he dont want to get violent. He raises his muzzle trying to ease the pain in his heart and beginns to howl. The rage dissapeared and nothing is left but tears on his face as he lays down, he feels guilty for all that.

Tikaani's mind swirled with emotions until he just couldn't take it anymore. "It's all my fault! I should have voted to go the other way!" He finally howled out loud in grief.

[Rosaleena]

"No one ever listens to me," Ebony mumbled, looking at Archen. She walked over to her masters, worry in her eyes as she smelled blood and looked at Richard.

[Archen]

((Rosa, we're still harnessed together on the sled. We can't actually get to them.))

Archen turned back to Tikaani, "It's not just your fault. Everyone who voted for this path has some of the fault. I should have known not to take this path as well." He growled lowly to himself as his gaze shifted back down the ravine. The ice spanning a long distance, but the exit within site. Probably only about a 2 hour run if we travelled a decent speed.

Darlene continued crying out loudly, hugging Richard tightly as he felt the slight raise of his chest. She immediately stopped crying as she watched closely. After a few seconds another chest movement showed itself. She smiled lightly before quickly realizing she had to get him to a town. She removed her light jacket, wrapping it around his back, making sure the sleeve covered up the open wound, helping to slow the bleeding. She tied it tightly and begun dragging the unconscious Richard to the sled. Struggling to pull the heavy, muscular man as she slowly made her way back to the sled.

Archen glanced back as the crying stopped, watching as she began furiously dragging him back to the sled. Noticing the small movement in his chest as his tail wag slowly. Master wasn't in perfect health, but at least there was a chance to save him. He turned back to the others, "Everyone get back into your positions, it looks like a two hour run out of here. Let's try for 90 minutes." He said with a large smile, waiting for the others to reply and for Darlene to load Richard up.

Yuki looked at the master in horror and disbelief. She watched as Darlene dragged him back into the sled. She barked to say ok and returned to her position. (I think it was the first or seconds spot?)

Sammy sees the movement of the masters chest and his eyes fills with a spark of hope. He listens to Archen and gets in his position. He applys a bit of pressure aggainst the sledge allready, knowing that he alone cant move it.
He looks to Archen "I got that" he whimpers. His face gets more serius as he waits for Darlene to load up the Master!

(@Snow: I asked Archen about that and he said he will think of the positions once we are full. He was unsure about doing it now, so we have to wait for his decision!)

Tikaani nodded at Archen, then barked with delight. Maybe Master wasn't dead after all! He saw Sammy trying to pull the sled and joined him.

He looks to Archen "I got that" he whimpers. His face gets more serius as he waits for Darlene to load up the Master!

(@Snow: I asked Archen about that and he said he will think of the positions once we are full. He was unsure about doing it now, so we have to wait for his decision!)

(( Went ahead and added the few positions we have. Remember, the positions do not affect your ranking among the dogs. Just merely where your strengths are best suited. ))

Darlene lifted with all of her strength to put Richard inside the sled. The smell of blood everywhere as she hops in the sled behind him. She gave out a loud whistle signaling us to run. Her gaze quickly shot down to her husband as tears began to well up in her eyes.

Archen began pushing off, his feet sliding against the slick ice. Waiting for the others to join in before they would begin moving. They would have to be fast this time, even on the slippery ice if they wanted to make it out of here and get Master some help. If even one wolf holds back their strength it could mean loss of Masters life.

Yuki heard the whistle. She proceeded to start running. She expected the others to do the same and ran faster.

As the whistle reaches Sammys ear he began to pull with all his might, looking for grip on the ice, to get the sledge moving. Driven by the anger on himself, he runs as fast as he can. No thoughts taking place in his mind at this emotional state.

Tikaani began to help full the sled forward with pure determination. Not even his laziness could get in the way. He let his master down once, he would not do that again.

Ebony started to run at the whistle, all her strength and speed helping to pull the sled forward. She still had hope for Richard and wasn't going to let him down.

((Sorry for not posting much yesterday, was sick. You're accepted, Snowy/Dawn. Post whenever you have a chance.))

With Archen and the others pulling on the sled they eventually began picking up speed. There claws sounding against the ice below them as the broken sled trailed behind them. Their speed faster due to the determination of the sled team. Making great time as they neared the exit, a mere 95 minutes.

Darlene had now calmed down and was focusing more on stopping the bleeding.

Richard was still unconscious and laid helplessly in the sled as he relied on the others.

Exiting the ravine, they spotted smoke fumes in the distance. It was a familiar sight, one that was created from a town with multiple fires burning in it. Without hesitation, Archen pulled to the right, leading them off of the path.

Archen yipped back to the others, "We can't make the rest of this trip with Master in this condition. We have to get him help first." He said confidently. He was sure the others felt the same.

As they neared the town, Darlene began getting Richard ready to be lifted. Her eyes shifting around as it looked for the hospital or anything that could help him. As the sled was pulled down the main street, Darlene whistled for Archen to stop. The others quickly stopping as the sled came to a halt.

Darlene lifted Richard the best she could, pulling him from the sled as she stumbled to the hospital. Two nurses rushing out and taking Richard from her. Darlene thanked the two repeatedly as she began to follow them in.

The sounds of the town people getting angry were abundant. The multiple wolfs sitting in the middle of their town made them more than a little uneasy. They were mere seconds from throwing objects at them to try and get them to leave. Regardless of Master's status, they just wanted the wolves gone.

Darlene glanced back at them, realizing it would be cruel to leave them tied up like this. She quickly walked over to them, undoing their harnesses and letting them off for now. She was confident that they would come back even if she let them roam free for a while. She stood up and glanced to them, "Everyone, listen up. I need all of you to hang outside of town for a little while. The town folk aren't comfortable with wolves being here. I'll come look for all of you later when it gets dark." She said softly as she turned and walked back inside the hospital.

Archen nodded to her before glancing back to the others, "The few dogs that are here, feel free to stay in town. They won't harm you. Wolves, follow me. We need to get you out of town for a while." He said softly as he turned and began walking down the main road, multiple people yelling at the wolves and taunting them with their guns. Archen himself was a dog, but he thought it best to look after the wolves in the team.

[Bautzi]

Sammy dont like it to be taunted, he looks to Archen as he walks beside him. "Where are we going?" he asks gently to distract himself from the humans. Hopefully the others will join us, he dont want to leave them behind.

[Archen]

Archen glanced back to Sammy. "There was what looked like an abandoned shack right outside of town. Figured we could be down there until night came. Hopefully Master will be okay." He said softly as he turned his gaze back forward, making his way further out of town.
